Investment In Machinery
We believe ours is one of the few highly automated chicken slaughtering plants in Singapore to be equipped with advanced machinery at every stage of the slaughtering and initial processing system - stunning, de-feathering, evisceration, automatic harvesting of edible organs and spin chilling, automatic weighing and sorting. We also employ advanced equipment for our further processing.

Investment In Quality Standards
Our commitment to delivering products of high standards in food safety and quality has led us to adopt internationally recognised quality management measures and manufacturing practices for food processing.

In August 2001, we were awarded the ISO 9002 Certification which recognises that our quality management system meets the highest standards of quality and safety required, from the point of process to the point of sale. Our quality management system was further certified to the ISO 9001 standards in January 2004.

In 2002, we became the first chicken slaughterhouse in Singapore to have its food safety system certified under the SPRING's HACCP certification scheme for the scope of chicken slaughtering services. Quality and safety audits for our food safety system are also carried out regularly.

Investment In Our People
Our investments in quality excellence go beyond technology and equipment; education and training are equally important. As such, our staff would attend training courses to equip themselves with knowledge of basic food safety procedures and practices.

Providing A Quality Option
An integral aspect of our quality drive entails addressing the diverse needs of the local community. Our provision of both halal and non-halal slaughtering services to wholesalers is our way of assuring our Muslim consumers. We are certified by MUIS for complying with halal requirements and under our exclusive partnership with PERGAS Co-operative, its religious teachers would supervise our halal-related processes on a weekly basis and provide on-site training to our Muslim staff.


Several factors account for the consistency in quality of fresh chickens - the quality of slaughtering, the equipment used, and the stringent compliance with food safety and quality requirements.

Some of our halal products are sold under the 'PERGAS' brand. We are the only chicken supplier in Singapore whose halal products bear the 'PERGAS' brand, a symbol of PERGAS Co-operative's endorsement of our product distribution in the Muslim market.

Our relentless pursuit of improving and maintaining high food hygiene and safety standards continues to reap rewards. We are proud that our subsidiaries, Soonly Food Processing Industries and KSB Distribution, have both been awarded the Certificate of Commendation by the AVA in July 2005 for having attained the "A" Grading for the second consecutive year under AVA's Food Factory Grading Scheme. In addition, we are honoured that KSB Distribution has also been selected by the AVA as its Food Safety Partner.
